Kim Tae-hee (born March 29, 1980) is a South Korean actress from Ulsan. Kim, who received a bachelor degree in fashion designing at the Seoul National University,[1] rose to stardom via her portrayal of the evil stepsister in the popular SBS TV series Stairway to Heaven.[2][3] Her recent TV projects include the supernatural KBS series Forbidden Love and the SBS campus romance Love Story in Harvard. Both series were successful. For her performance in Forbidden Love, Kim was honored with the Best Female Newcomer award. Her younger brother is Lee Wan is making himself known through a series of dramas, one being "Swallow the Sun," and even worked with her drama series "Stairway to Heaven", where he played as her young character's young older brother. Kim Tae Hee also is taking a main role in her new drama, "Iris." Kim Tae Hee is also widely known and popular for her beauty, and has been dubbed by most of Korea's population as "The Most Beautiful Korean Woman."

1남 2녀 중 차녀로 부산[1]에서 태어나 울산삼신초등학교, 울산대현중학교, 울산여자고등학교, 서울대학교 생활과학대학 의류학과를 졸업했다. 남동생은 배우 이완이다. 종교는 천주교이며, 세례명은 베르다. 2000년 '화이트' 광고 모델로 데뷔했으며, 2001년 《선물》로 영화에, 2002년 시트콤 《렛츠고》로 드라마에 처음 모습을 나타냈다. 2003년 에 방영된 SBS 미니시리즈 천국의 계단 에서 악녀 한유리를 연기하면서 스타덤에 올랐다.
